Pacing
When you are pacing the arms are fairly relaxed. Pacing is frequently done between other locking moves and can be done on the spot or combined with a march and be used as a travelling step.
It is also a move that like many locking steps, freestylers can easily do together without any prior preparation.
It has a very basic rhythm to follow so is easy to sync up with other lockers.
How To Do Pacing
1. Bring your right arm over to the right hand side creating a near enough horizontal line with your arm. The hand is like a fist but more relaxed, so the fingers aren't clenched. The hand will be facing the front.
Also extend your body over to the right side as you do this.
2. Return the body and arm back to centre.
3. Repeat as many times as you wish. You can repeat for 8 counts if you like, but more or less is fine too.
The pace is a relatively simple move but in order to get the right feel you have to imagine almost like you're throwing your hand out to the side.
It is not as aggressive as a punch, it's quite loose and you guide the hand over to the right.
When you want it to be funky, you extend your body over to the right with the arm. So throughout the move the body will also go to the right then back to centre, to the right and back to centre.
This move can be done with either hand. When doing it with the left hand, the hand will go to the left with the body before returning back to centre.
