Lock (Alternative Version)
There are many ways to do a lock. Any time you freeze you are doing a lock, so here is another way to lock with a slightly different position with the legs.
Although here we're calling it an alternative version to distinguish it from the others, in reality this version is just as common as the other 2 locks you've already learnt.
Ok so let's find out...
How To Do Another Lock
1. Bring both the arms up so they are either side of your head.
2. Bring both the arms down all the way by your sides.
3. Now drop into a squat like position (with a gap between your legs) with the knees bent and going outwards. At the same time as you do this your arms lock into position (pulling up and then freezing in position).
By the time you reach your new position down low your arms will be already locked in place.
In this position unlike the previous locks, both the heels tend to stay on the floor so you have a nice base to support your weight when you are in the low lock position.
In this position with the legs you can also do a double lock. So all the steps are the same except immediately after you've done the first lock, you snap your elbows again into the second lock (essentially when you lock the arms, relax them and then lock them again, the elbows are snapping forwards and backwards).
