Double Lock

Sometimes depending on how you feel and what's happened beforehand you will feel like doing a double lock instead of the standard single lock.

The double lock is not much harder to do than the single up lock. In essence all it does differently is fit in 2 locks one after the other instead of one.

However this is not one lock for each beat but two locks in a single beat. In order to pull off the move requires looser hips than a single lock does.

How To Do The Double Lock

1. Bring both arms so they are either side of the head.

2. Bring both arms down by your side.

3. Bring your arms up as if pulling something up, but instead of pulling up all the way lock the arms twice in quick succession. On execution of the first lock the right heel has lifted off the floor so it's just the right toes in contact with the ground, while the back supporting left leg is straight.

As you lock the first time the hips go to the left, the hips then return to centre as the arms come down. The hips then return again to the left side as the arms lock for a second time.

The 2 locks or double lock are done in quick succession. So as soon as the arms have come down after step 2 they snap 2 times into the locks.

Once again this move can be reversed so it's the left heel that lifts off and the left toes that are in contact with the ground. This time though the hips will move to the right side as you lock the 1st time, return to centre and shift to the right again in time for the 2nd lock.
